Reading is one of my favourites pastimes not because it's my hobby but it allows me to travel the road that I couldn't even believe exists before. Here is why reading books is good for your brain.
Books have always helped me to look beneath the surface and find insights.
During schools, I used to read fiction, small stories about different communities of India. I remember I had a book "Bharat ki Lok kathaye" (The folk tales of India) and it inspired me to the degree that I began composing my own creation in terms of short stories. Read the Timeless stories from Ancient India.
After that, I read the book
and I can't tell you into the words what I have learned through it. I will just say that today my whole life exists because of this book only.
The Book has inspirational messages and great ideas. And I was to recommend you to read only one book then that would be this one.
During the lowest point of his life, a man begins writing letters to God to vent his frustrations - and unexpectedly receives answers to his questions, written by his own hand. The bestselling spiritual classic that has now sold millions of copies world-wide.
Neale Donald Walsch was experiencing the lowest point of his life - from a devastating fire to the collapse of his marriage - when he decided to write a letter to God to vent his frustrations. What he did not expect was a response: as he finished his letter, he was moved to continue writing, and out came extraordinary answers to his questions. These answers - covering all aspects of human existence, from happiness to money, to faith - helped Walsch to change himself and his life for better, and the way he viewed other beings.
I must say that if you are open-minded, have a limitless curiosity and a sincere desire to seek the truth then this book is striking.
Then I read a book, everyone, I guess, have read that 'The monk who sold his Ferrari'. A renowned inspirational fiction, The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari is a revealing story that offers the readers a simple yet profound way to live life. The plot of this story revolves around Julian Mantle, a lawyer who has made his fortune and name in the profession. A sudden heart-attack creates havoc in the successful lawyer?s life. Jolted by the sudden onset of the illness, his practice comes to a standstill. He ponders over material success being worth it all, renounces all of it and leaves for India.
A visit to India about a spiritual awakening that opens up new vistas and Julian begins to view life in a different perspective. He decides to live his life once again but in a way that is much more fulfilling and meaningful than before.
It is like a guide book that will teach you that if you are a sincere seeker of truth, what you should do and exactly How you should do. It has adopted very practical yet effective methods and simple observances to uplift yourself. It is not just a story but self-help.
Apart from these books, I have read many others but will include here those that are not generally included in the search but can have an intense impact on the life of a reader. And these books are not based on a particular theme but clarify the issues in different areas of your life.
Before you read on I would like to announce that we have new release of all kinds of ‘discovering yourself books' to heal your trauma and free your heart.
