Love is an art to touch the heart, a soft feel, a pleasurable sensation and an unsolved puzzle.
Everyone has some thoughts around their head about divine love. Everybody is talking about the Love of God or Love from the Divine all the time but nobody seems to know how Divine Love takes place. It is the most important subject of our life still least understood. And so let us explore how Divine Love takes place when you know yourself.
Once you truly know yourself, you automatically fall in love with yourself and when you love yourself you can never get out of it. Because when you love yourself, you not only Love, you become love - the divine love. And that’s why I wrote how Divine Love takes place when you know yourself.
I often hear people saying they love their family, their children, they love that or this person. Not only to human beings, but some also says they love birds, animals, food and sometimes they have loved even for shoes, yes the shoes. You can hear people saying "Ahaan I love that pair of shoes".
These days people love almost everything but in reality have a love for nothing. Because to love someone first we need to know them. And same is true for Divine Love. To Divine Love to takes place you need to know yourself because all divinity lies within you as Anthon St. Maarten said, “You are one thing only. You are a Divine Being. An all-powerful Creator. You are a Deity in jeans and a t-shirt, and within you dwells the infinite wisdom of the ages and the sacred creative force of All that is, will be and ever was.”
It is saddened that the Love, we talk so much about, write and read and endlessly about but living our lives without knowing and having love.
And this is because we love materialistic things more than people. Even if fewer do love people, a male to a female or a mother to a child, that too is for some selfish reasons. And the funny part is that people love God again for their fortune.
Many thousands of years ago, there is a story of a sage telling his wife, "Not for the sake of the wife is the wife dear to the husband, my dear, it's for the sake of the self." And I agree that one can not love others without loving oneself.
We have a question now, isn’t it being selfish to love yourself? Yes it's selfish to love yourself but without being selfish you can not love others. Because to experience the love that has not a single glimpse of selfishness is the love you do to yourself and only then you learn what love is. And then you supply that kind of love to others too.
From my experience of life, I felt that if you love yourself, your life will love you and that is the true meaning of divine love. You have compassion or kindness for yourself, life will take care of you. It is the pure love that you do to yourself.
How can one experience Divine Love?
One can only experience divine love when one knows that he is a complete self and realizes that nobody on this earth is here to complete him. When one knows that he is not bound to anyone when he truly knows oneself.
And once he knows itself, he loves himself and this love is not the product of selfishness but divinity.
Once you become love, you automatically love everything that comes into your contact whether it's living or nonliving, plant or animal, a flower or a thorn, a friend or a foe.
Face changes, people change, situation changes but the love of God remains in your heart, ever and forever. And in return everything loves you.
And this only possible when you find your true self and that comes when you love the one who loves all that is 'The Highest Power' or to whom we say 'The God'. God's love is the pure form of Love. It is divine love.
People often say there is nothing but pain in love. But those who did love to God said, there is no jolt but jolliness. Meera, Saint Kabir, Guru Nanak or Raskhan are the best example of that. This is the glory of God's love that an ordinary woman Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu became Mother Teresa.
Love Him Who Loves All.
